A Huge thank you to all of the Families that returned library books. There are three ways that you can return your library books. 1. Send it with the bus drivers, when picking up provided school lunch. 2. Send it with the bus drivers, when they are picking up School Work on Fridays. 3. Bring your library books to the school and put in the drop box outside the High School Entry way. Secondary students will be receiving an email, detailing which books they may have overdue. Elementary students will be notified by their teacher. Thank you so much for all of your help in this matter!!!!

Thank you to Robin Cogan for sharing this to push out to our Wrangler Students!
Axel Scheffler has illustrated a digital book designed for elementary school-age children, free for anyone to read on-screen or print out, about the coronavirus and the measures taken to control it. Published by Nosy Crow, and written by staff within the company, the book has had expert input: Professor Graham Medley of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine acted as a consultant, and the company also had advice from two headteachers and a child psychologist.

Fremont County School District #24 Families:
This afternoon the Governor extended the Statewide Public Health Orders through April 17th. The public health order https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/WYGOV/bulletins/2839933 means that our school buildings will remain closed. Last night at the Fremont CSD#24 Board meeting the Board took action to “Approve moving to an adaptive learning environment until such time as it is deemed safe by county health officials and state government officials for schools to reopen”
As you are aware our administration, teachers, and staff have been working diligently to ensure the educational needs of our Wrangler students are being met. Yesterday, school districts across the state were notified that they will be required to submit an “Adaptive Learning Plan” to the Department of Education for approval. I am happy to say that our plan has already been approved due to the hard that our folks have already been doing. Starting on Monday, April 6th, students will be required to attend classes virtually and will begin a new chapter in educating our Wrangler students.
I am extremely confident in our staff to meet these challenging educational opportunities as we move forward. They have already been working with students over the last week and one half, figuring things out and working out the bugs in delivering education through a new means. Our delivery system will be a process that continually evolves as our staff learns the nuances and ins and outs of our new way of educating students. I ask that you please communicate with them and show compassion as we work through this together.
Our building principals and special education director have already placed plans and documentation on our school website. The “NEWS” section of our website will continue to be a location where you can find updated information on the adaptive learning plan.
As always, safety is our primary concern. Thank you for your support as our district works to ensure the health and well being of our entire community. Please refer to the district website, shoshonischools.org for ongoing updates.
