On April 27th, we will be hosting a meeting for the parents of all current 10th and 11th grade students. The last two years of high school can be intimidating for parents and students alike. We want to share information with parents to help alleviate some of the stress and answer any questions that arise. Students are also encouraged to attend.

Topics that will be covered will be:
- What to expect for junior and senior year
- ACT Testing
- Graduation Requirements
- Hathaway Scholarship
- Dual/Concurrent Enrollment
- Scholarships and Financial Aid

Shoshoni FBLA is hosting a Business & Craft Fair in order to highlight local businesses and crafters, and to raise money via booth fees and a silent auction for our students traveling to the national competition in San Antonio, Texas in late June. We are excited to host this event, and are currently looking for businesses and crafters who would want to sell their wares or give out information about their organization at our fair. Booth fees are $65 + a silent auction item donation. We have 53 out of 55 booth spaces currently available. We ask that our fabulous community share this post far and wide, to let all of our local businesses and crafters know that there is an opportunity to share your business AND support our local youth!

The first-grade classrooms have been chirping with excitement lately! We are beyond thrilled to share that this year’s incubation project was a total success!! We started with 20 eggs and successfully hatched every single one!🐣✨

This journey was extra special because Mrs. Newberry used eggs from the very chickens she hatched with the first graders last year! 🐓 Our young scientists took their roles very seriously, charting and monitoring the development daily to learn all about the intricate stages of growth. 📝 A major highlight was carefully candling the eggs ( but not too often) to catch a glimpse of the life forming inside. 🔦🥚

From carefully monitoring the incubator to witnessing those first tiny pips, the students have been captivated every step of the way. We even had a live feed set up so students and their families could continue to observe the hatching process from home after school hours! 💻 It was so wonderful to see so many students, parents, and fellow teachers stopping by our classrooms to check on the chicks and share in the excitement. 💛

We would like to thank Mrs. Rodriguez and Mrs. Cotterman for helping set up the live feed and providing all the tech support to ensure we could continue to monitor the progress around the clock. 🛠️📱 Seeing every single chick hatch was the perfect reward for all their hard work and curiosity.

Be sure to check out our link to the time-lapse video of the hatching process and browse through the pictures below to see our journey! We are so proud of these gentle and observant caretakers. https://drive.google.com/file/d/173AQZ3P0OiIDa99iC9kX5bmvpgIdUez5/view

Welcome to the world, little ones! 🐤🐥🌟

After a looooong day of presenting, our FBLA students are ALMOST done with all of their events at the State Leadership Conference! With just a handful of events left to compete in tomorrow (Friday), our students are eagerly awaiting the closing session to see who qualifies for Nationals in San Antonio! In the mean time, some of the presentation events that were held today were competitive enough to need a second round, and the finalists for those competitions were announced this evening. Please congratulate these students on making it to finals, and wish them and the rest of our competitors good luck in their events tomorrow morning! We are so incredibly proud of every one of our members, and can't wait to celebrate them all at the closing session tomorrow afternoon!
