A huge thank you to all the friends and family that have supported our school's recent fundraiser! Thanks to gift cards that were donated, our first set of items purchased for the classroom recently arrived. The first graders are loving their new blocks, games, and logic puzzles! The whole school sure appreciates the overwhelming generosity from the community.

The Hidden Valley bus will combine PM routes on Thursday February 3rd. Notes will be sent home with students. Heads up: we will also be combining PM routes on 2/11 and 2/18. We will send notes home with details when we get closer to those dates.
LOCKDOWN DRILL FEBRUARY 15, 2022 The safety and welfare of our students is our highest priority. In order to maintain a safe environment for our children to study and learn, it is necessary that we practice our emergency and crisis response plans throughout the year. We conduct drills such as Fire, Lockdown, Earthquake, Evacuation, and Stay Put. The purpose of these drills is to ensure that students and staff are prepared in the event of an emergency. We will prepare our students for how the drill will be conducted, and with reassurance that there is no need to be anxious or scared. Often, children are comforted by the message that lockdowns, like fire drills, are just one more way that adults make sure their children are safe. Students with additional needs will be supported before, during and after the drill. Please call SRO Myers or Kay Watson with any questions.

I recently received an announcement from the Governor's office regarding the RIDE advisory group that will potentially have an impact on education in Wyoming in the near future. As a parent, community member, or concerned citizen you have the opportunity to help shape the future of education in Wyoming. Announced in May 2021, the Reimagining and Innovating the Delivery of Education (RIDE) Advisory Group is tasked to study and develop recommendations for elevating Wyoming’s primary and secondary education system into a position of national leadership. Its membership includes independent volunteers with an interest in Wyoming’s education system. Key to that effort is learning more about what families, communities and businesses expect from the state’s educational system.“We want to hear from everyone who cares about Wyoming’s K-12 education system – parents, students, educators and employers,” Governor Gordon said. “We want their opinions about what it is we’d like our schools to be able to deliver for our students. Community listening sessions are planned for late spring and summer across the state. Additional information on the RIDE Advisory Group, and a link to the survey can be found on the group’s website. https://bit.ly/3fchGW6
