FAQs

How do I get started with Peer Coaching?

The answer to this requires you to do a little research.  You might check with your building principal to see if he/she has heard of this procedure.  If they haven't heard of Peer Coaching, you can introduce this website to them to review.  If they have heard of Peer Coaching, you can just carry on the conversation from there about how could you get started.

How much time is involved with this?

The answer is that you don't have to devote a lot of time to Peer Coaching.  You will get out of it what you put into it.  That simply means that if you just want to dabble with it to see if it is something you would like to do, you would only need to get with another teacher and set up the instruction based on your conversations and do it.  If you find that it isn't as bad as you thought, you can take the ball and run with it.  Set up future meetings and conversations with your peer.

How do I get others interested?

If you have tried Peer Coaching and find that it has value, then by all means, spread the word to other teachers.  Nothing helps more than people in the day to day routine talking about Peer Coaching and how it helps them to be more effective with their instructional practices.
