Why Peer Coaching?

Improving classroom instruction can lead to a positive climate with the teacher and his/her students. The students will be motivated to learn, the teacher will feel more confident and his/her fellow teachers will share in collaboration and mutually benefit from the process. One of the  techniques to use in the process of evaluating teachers is the process called Peer Coaching. Interaction and collaboration with fellow teachers builds esteem and strengthens both individuals in a manner that is a little less stressful (Mento and Giampetro-Meyer, 2000).
